We move colourfully into May, a busy time indeed for your Students’ Union and of course you! We hope that you had an excellent Easter break and have come back to College raring to take part in the upcoming Elections, Parties and Charity Events organised by us. So let’s get on with business…

WHAT KIND OF HERO ARE YOU?

Elections are OFFICIALLY OPEN, so come and collect an nomination pack from any Students’ Union office. There are six exciting positions to stand for, including Full-time Sabbatical President which will make a fantastic Gap Year experience. Also DO NOT forget to attend the Elections Results Party on Friday 23^rd May, all the votes will be counted and the new Executive Committee for 08/09 will be revealed. Click here for more details

MAY BALL   Friday 2^nd May 2008

If you are over 18 and would like to join thousands of students in Derby, party on down at the biggest student gathering of the year, then make sure you get your ticket to the May Ball! The line up includes acts from the Sugar Babes and East 17, plus guest appearances from Radio One’s Zane Lowe and Judge Jules. Make sure your diary is kept free on Friday 2^nd May 2008 and get your ticket from the PCA and JWC Students’ Union offices at Derby College. BEACH PARTY @ SU BAR   Thursday 8^th May 2008

The grand opening of the NEW Students’ Union Bar at Broomfield Hall will be taking place on Thursday 8^th May from 7.30pm. To mark this event the Students’ Union will be holding a Grand Beach Party exclusive to all Derby College Students! Grab your bucket and spade and your hula skirts (that includes you too, boys) and get yourself up to the New Student Bar. Sleep out and raise money for NCH Children’s Charity. Join us at Broomfield Hall campus on Thursday 15^th May from 9.30pm until 7.00am (Friday). Come and collect your sponsorship and booking form from the Students’ Union or download one here
