A Great New Oppurtunity For All Young People . Don't Miss Out!!

From April 1st 2008 Derby CVS will be hosting a new and exciting youth volunteering project that will replace Millenium Volunteers. It will be called vinvolved. This is a project funded by the charity v and the main aims of this new project are to work with organistions to develop new and better volunteering oppurtunities for young people, to help young people develop their own volunteering oppurtunities and to promote volunteering to young people in Derby.

The vinvolved team are also recruiting for a Youth Action Team (YAT) that will help lead and guide us to deliver the project. We are looking for people aged 16 -25 to be part of this team.

The role would invlove:

1) Promoting volounteering to other potential volunteers

2) Getting young peoples views about what matters to them and what difference they would like to make in their community

3) Helping organistions to involve more young volunteers

4) Getting feedback from young people on their volunteering experiences

5) Raising awareness of the difference young people are making through their volunteering

6) Organise celebraton events to recognise young volunteer's contribution

You do not need any experience , just enthusiasm and a passion about volunteering

You will get full training and support from the vinvolved team and by getting involved you will have the chance to make a difference to voulnteer activity in Derby for young people.

Once we have all the applications back we are going to have an introduction meeting with the Youth Action Team and then we will be going to Edale Youth Hostel. This will be a team building weeknd and a chance to learn more about the Youth Action Team and what it will be doing .
