Young Persons Specialist Service

What does the service do?

• Discusses with the person their experiences and assesses their mental health.

• Helps the person to increase their understanding of what is happening to them.

• Reduces the level of distress caused by their experiences.

• Works alongside the person to increase their abilities in copying with their problems.

• Works closely with family and friends to promote change.

• Assists the person to plan for their future.
